Learning Experience Design
I currently work as a Lead Learning Experience Designer for a community-based organization. In my role, I research and test new technologies, assess learning opportunities for staff for newly adopted technologies, create scope and sequences for various topics, create learning materials and assessments, manage the LMS (Canvas), and evaluate the learning outcomes.
I also worked as an Instructional Designer and Educational Technologist for private schools in New York, where I performed many of the same tasks, but my primary audience was teachers.
Technology Literacy Scope and Sequence
In my role at Dwight School as an instructional designer, I was tasked with creating a technology literacy curriculum for K–5 students. The goal was to create a scope and sequence where students were introduced to skills in 3 domains—device literacy, media literacy, and computer science—so they would progressively develop these skills throughout their time in lower school and be prepared for the rigor of middle school.
8th Grade STEAM Curriculum
While working as an Educational Technologist at Ramaz School, I created the curriculum for a taught the 8th grade STEAM elective class. The goal of the course was to deepen students’ computational thinking by immersing them in several coding languages through various coding activities and projects.
Managing Technology At Home Guide
At Dwight School, I created learning materials for students, teachers, and parents. The Managing Technology At Home Guide was created to give parents resources and advice for creating healthy tech habits for their families at home.
Fostering Inclusion with Digital Accessibility Tools
As the Lead Learning Designer at NYSEC, I created and lead a workshop teaching other learning designers how the use digital accessibility tools to engage learners with varying needs. I also provided an accompanying handout that learning designers could use as a cheat sheet.
Google Sheets Workshop
I created a workshop for staff members at NYSEC to teach them basic Google Sheets formulas. The workshop consisted of 13 hands-on activities that walked learners through the process of using each formula.
Intro to Python Course Planning
As a Contract Curriculum Developer at Kira Learning, I created a curriculum from start to finish for beginner programmers to learning computational thinking through Python programming. The course was created for children in grades 6–8 who are beginner programmers.
Digital Bookmaking with Book Creator
I created and lead a workshop to teach staff how to use the digital publishing platform, Book Creator.
